During the opening ceremony, Wang Yuyan, director of CNPIEC’s International Business Center, expressed her hope that through the BIBF and the Global Youth Publishing Fellowship program, a vibrant exchange of ideas and creativity between Chinese publishers and international youth could be stimulated. Furthermore, she encouraged students to forge stronger collaborations with their Chinese counterparts in various domains, including copyright cooperation, international publishing and international cultural exchange.
Throughout the program’s duration, an array of enriching professional activities awaits participants, such as visits to publishing houses, bookstore tours, copyright negotiations, literary dialogues and cultural experiences. The students eagerly anticipate embarking on this journey.
The program strives to deliver professional training on Chinese content to overseas young editors, publishers, copyright agents and other professionals in the publishing industry, and to establish an international network within the publishing realm. By utilizing the power of books as a medium, it seeks to facilitate meaningful exchanges and mutual learning between China and other nations.
