7.2-magnitude quake hits waters off Alaska, US: CENC

BEIJING -- A 7.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the sea areas south of Alaska, the United States at 2:48 pm Sunday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 54.55 degrees north latitude and 160.95 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 20 km, the CENC said.
