First official Chinese learning and testing centers open in Tianjin and Vietnam

The first official Chinese Learning and Testing Centers have opened in Tianjin, China, and Thanh Dong, Vietnam.

The centers were set up by Chinese Test International, Tianjin Normal University and Thanh Dong University. They offer a complete range of standardized training and testing for the HSK Chinese proficiency test, the business Chinese test, the youth Chinese test, the medical Chinese test, and the Certificate for teachers of Chinese to speakers of other languages.

The centers also offer systematic teacher training and international Chinese teacher qualification certifications.

Zhong Yinghua, president of the Tianjin Normal University, said the new center "signifies the birth of an innovative integrated Chinese language learning service institution that meets the demands of the times."

Li Peize, president of the Chinese Test International (Beijing) Co, said the center "aims to further deepen the friendship and mutual development between China and Viet Nam, Tianjin and the world in terms of language, culture, and education exchange."

Nguyen Thi Hoa Ly, vice-president of the Thanh Dong University, said the university will continue investing in human resources and infrastructure to build the best Chinese language proficiency test center in Vietnam.

Chinese Test International is a professional international Chinese education and examination service company that has set up 1,208 test centers in 155 countries and regions.

The three parties said they will work to operate the twin new centers, heralding a new trend in Chinese language education overseas.
