Companies in Zhuozhou, Hebei province, are gradually resuming production after suffering serious flooding earlier this month.
In Diaowo town, one of the hardest-hit areas of the city, more than 40 companies have accelerated steps to resume production, thanks to all-around assistance and support provided by the local government.
"Thanks to the township government, we are able to speed up the resumption of work and production," Zhou Lu, chairman of Zhuozhou Yuzanyuan Agricultural Technology Development Co, was quoted as saying by Hebei Daily.

He added that the government has helped him coordinate some drainage equipment to remove floodwater in underground storehouses.
The town sent a work team of 50 members on Aug 10 to help such enterprises as Zhou's recover from flood damage. The local government has helped the companies coordinate with local banks to secure capital to address urgent needs.

"We will do everything possible to help enterprises resume operations again. This is our top priority at present," Zhang Dazhong, Party chief of the town, was quoted as saying in the report.
