BRICS laying new ground for Global South, expert says

David Monyae, director of the Centre for Africa-China studies at the University of Johannesburg Confucius Institute, said the current BRICS is "people-centered".

BRICS is playing a catalytic role in bringing to life the wishes and aspirations of the Global South.

The leading China expert in South Africa praised BRICS' role and urged the world to "have a serious conversation at the global level and using BRICS as a vehicle to gunner more consensuses on what should be the international law".
