Hungarian Minister says European sanctions 'a complete failure'

Speaking at the Belt and Road Summit 2023 in Hong Kong on Wednesday, Peter Szijjarto, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, said that the sanctions imposed by Europe during the Russia-Ukraine conflict were a complete failure and brought even more harm to Europe. "There is an increasing number of Western politicians hoping to isolate Europe's economy from China, which undoubtedly would 'kill' the European economy", he added.
