China hosts second vocational skills competition

China will hold its second vocational skills competition on Saturday in Tianjin with 4,045 competitors across the nation joining 109 events.
The national competition will last three days, from Saturday to Monday. According to the organizing committee of the competition, sixty-two of the 109 events are organized for competitor's selection of WorldSkills - such as automobile technology and freight forwarding with winners of these events being included in the national team for the world competition in Lyon, France next September.
Another 47 are national competitions including bricklaying, jewelry processing and virtual reality engineering technology.
People younger than 30 are the majority of this year's competitors - roughly 67 percent, and the average age of all these competitors is 26.4 years old - the oldest is 58 and youngest being 16.
