Liu Lixian, former member of the Party Committee and secretary of the discipline inspection commission of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, is under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation over suspected violation of Party disciplines and laws, said the country's top anti-graft agencies on Friday.

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission, China's top anti-graft bodies, announced the investigation in a statement on Friday and noted that it was Liu who turned himself in for the investigation.

Liu once served as the deputy director of the former General Administration of Anti-Corruption and Bribery under the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The administration was placed under the National Supervisory Commission in 2018 due to the reform of the national supervision system.

Liu served as the vice-president of the China Huarong Asset Management since September 2003, and joined ICBC in 2005.

He has been the secretary of the discipline inspection commission of ICBC since October 2005. In July 2013, he became the executive director of ICBC.
