Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, a high-speed rail running from Fuzhou to Xiamen and to Zhangzhou, is expected to start operation on Sept 28, ThePaper reported on Tuesday.

This high-speed rail will connect Fuzhou and Xiamen in just 55 minutes, making it possible for residents of both cities to live within a "one-hour living circle".

This achievement marks another milestone in China's pursuit of intelligent rail technology, following the success of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway and the Beijing-Xiong'an intercity railway. It further solidifies China's leadership in high-speed rail technology on the global stage.

Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway starts from Fuzhou South Station, passing through the cities of Putian, Quanzhou, Xiamen, ending at Zhangzhou Station with a total length of 277 kilometers and a designed top speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The construction of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway incorporates intelligent construction technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) based on digital information.

It integrates the entire process of design, construction and operation, resulting in a comprehensive "3D Digital Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway".

The starting operation of the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway will connect the southeast coastal city clusters into a "golden tourism belt".

Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou and other places will form a "half-hour traffic circle", which will greatly facilitate the exchanges of people alongside, and is of great significance for promoting the coordinated development of regional economy and society.
