More than 1,000 children reported missing in Cleveland this year

Cleveland, Ohio, a city with a population of about 375,000, has had 1,072 children reported missing this year, with 45 in September alone, and 35 went missing in August, according to media reports.

The extraordinary surge has garnered widespread attention.Cleveland Police Chief Wayne Drummond addressed the situation Wednesday, asserting that reports were inaccurate as 1,020 reported missing children returned home safely, leaving 65 still missing as of that day.
