Controversy surrounds US military aid to Israel

US President Joe Biden submitted a special budget proposal to Congress worth $105 billion last Friday, intended for providing military aid to Israel and Ukraine. However, a divide exists within the Democratic Party, as some Democrats argue that it would be wrong to leverage support of aid to Israel in attempt to get additional aid for Ukraine. Josh Paul, an official at the US State Department, resigned due to his dissatisfaction with the policy of supplying weapons to Israel.
