Beauty without Borders, a joint show by Mongolian artist Tsegmid Soyolmaa and Chinese ink painter Chang Meijuan, kicked off at the embassy of Mongolia in Beijing on Monday.

The exhibition displays more than 40 ink paintings by the two female artists. Works of Chang, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, are mostly figure paintings while those of Soyolmaa centers on birds and flowers. The show is to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the Cultural and Information Center of the embassy.

The painters said at the opening ceremony that their works demonstrate the beauty of their own nations and they hope such kind of cultural exchanges can boost the friendship between China and Mongolia.
