Wang Yixin, vice-governor of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, is under disciplinary inspection and supervisory investigation, the country's top anti-corruption watchdog said.
The Communist Party of China Central Committee for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission released a statement on Friday saying that Wang is suspected of seriously violating the Party's disciplines and national laws.
No more details have been disclosed.
Wang, 58, a native of Hubei province, started his first job in 1987 and joined the Party in 1993.
Before he served as vice-governor of Heilongjiang in late 2021, he was vice-governor of Shanxi province.
Earlier, he worked for the China National Offshore Oil Corporation and Hainan State Farms.
