In Xi'an, Shaanxi province, a restaurant owner, Xiong Wencheng, has implemented a unique initiative to help those facing difficulties. Known as the "No 6 Combo", the set meal consists of a bowl of spicy soup, locally called hulatang, and a baijimo, a flatbread. This combination serves as a discreet code established by Xiong to assist customers in need.

Three years ago, Xiong placed a sign on the restaurant door, informing people that if they were experiencing hardships in Xi'an and couldn't afford a meal, they could enter the restaurant and request the "No 6 combo". No questions would be asked, and they would receive a meal free of charge, according a report of People.cn.

Xiong has remained committed to this initiative, embodying the spirit of warmth and love in Xi'an. He expressed the hope that those who receive help will, in turn, extend a helping hand to others, creating a chain of kindness.

Customers appreciate the significance of the No 6 Combo, recognizing that it not only provides a free meal but also conveys the care and respect of the restaurant to those facing difficulties.

Additionally, the restaurant has been offering free breakfast to street sanitation workers since 2015, demonstrating a consistent commitment to community support.

One customer marveled at the cost of the combo, noting that even if 20 people requested it, the total would only be 160 yuan ($22.4). Xiong's enduring efforts over the years have been widely recognized as remarkable.

Xiong emphasized the importance of gratitude and extending help to others, stating that everyone faces difficulties in life, and those who receive assistance should, within their capabilities, lend a hand to others in need. He highlighted the collective responsibility to support each other during tough times.
