ATHENS -- A far-left militant group on Sunday threatened to conduct a series of attacks against political, economic and police targets in Greece.

In a statement posted on a well-known anti-establishment website, the newly emerged group "Armed Proletarian Justice" claimed responsibility for the explosive device planted outside the headquarters of the Greek riot police in Athens on Dec 18.

The explosive device found inside a plastic container on Monday by the Greek Anti-Terror Service contained C4 explosives and gelatin dynamite. A disposal squad rushed to the site after a warning telephone call was made to two local newspapers, and neutralized the bomb.
