As the arrival of spring finally comes, and the passing of the traditional Chinese solar term Lichun, the gradually warm weather hails a crucial period for spring planting and irrigation.
To ensure timely irrigation for wheat fields, workers from the local power supplier arrived at the fields of Dongtun village in Anyang, Henan province, on March 13 to assist farmers in inspecting the electricity supply situations for irrigation equipment.
Since early March, Anyang has deployed refined measures and optimized services in preparation for spring farming.
A team of power supply service personnel was organized to venture into the fields and carry out the duty of ensuring power supply for spring planting and irrigation. They meticulously inspected the operation of transformers, switches, and various equipment, while providing enhanced guidance on safe electricity use for users, said State Grid Anyang Power Supply Co.
In addition, preparations for emergency repair and materials were made in advance, adhering to the principle of "restore power first, then repair", to effectively ensure power supply.
Through methods such as household visits, distributing safety guidelines for electricity use, and online explanations of safety tips, Anyang has ramped up efforts to raise awareness among farmers about the importance of safety during the spring planting and irrigation period.
Looking forward, Anyang will continue its precise strategies to safeguard power supply, facilitate convenient electricity installation, and strengthen electrical safety, said State Grid Anyang Power Supply Co.
"These efforts aim to provide strong support for spring planting and irrigation, laying a solid electric foundation for increased agricultural production and income for farmers in Anyang throughout the year," it added.
