Tang Yijun under investigation for suspected severe violations of the discipline and law

Tang Yijun, chairman of Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is being investigated for suspected severe violations of the discipline and law, China's top anti-corruption authorities said on Tuesday.
The investigation information has been disclosed by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision online.
Tang was elected as chairman of the CPPCC's Jiangxi Provincial Committee in early 2023. Before coming to Jiangxi to serve the position, he was the minister of justice.
The 63-year-old native from Shandong province started his career in July 1977 and joined the Party in October 1985.
He served on various posts for decades in Zhejiang province and went to Liaoning province to be its acting governor in 2017. He came to the Ministry of Justice in 2020.
