China is a partner of Germany and Europe in terms of win-win cooperation and common development, and the common interests between them far outweigh their differences, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.
Wang made the remarks during a meeting in Beijing with Wolfgang Ischinger, president of the Munich Security Conference Foundation Council.
He said Beijing "attaches great importance to China-Germany and China-EU relations".
Wang stated his hope on Ischinger to continue driving Munich Security Conference in making contributions to deepening exchanges and cooperation between China, Germany and the EU, and to focus on listening to the voices of developing countries and pooling more strengths to solve common global challenges.
Ischinger said he highly values exchanges and cooperation with China, thanking China for its active support to the Munich Security Conference over the years, and that he is willing to further promote the cooperative relationship between the two sides.
He also expressed his willingness to deepen mutual understanding and trust between China and Germany and between China and Europe.
Wang noted that the world is in turmoil and the international community is facing multiple challenges.
As a responsible major country, China actively advocates an equal and orderly multipolarity in the world and is "firmly committed to being a stabilizing player in a turbulent world", he said.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on the Ukraine crisis.
