Canton Fair opens with over 1 million new products on display

The 135th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, kicked off in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Monday.
This session features an offline exhibition in three phases from April 15 to May 5, with an online platform operating throughout the year.
The three phases of the offline exhibition will showcase advanced manufacturing products from April 15-19, quality home lifestyle products from April 23-27, and products for an enhanced living experience from May 1-5.
The new form of trade has been introduced to the fair that sets a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot area and overseas warehouse display areas for the first time, occupying a 3,000-square-meter exhibition space.
As reported by the China News Service, over 1 million new products will be displayed at the fair this year. Additionally, the number of green products and goods with independent intellectual property rights is expected to exceed 450,000 and 250,000, respectively.
The offline showing space spans 1.55 million square meters, accommodating 55 exhibition areas. It has attracted more than 29,000 enterprises, including 28,600 participating in the export section, and 680 foreign enterprises from 50 countries and regions worldwide in the import section.
By April 13, the fair had garnered pre-registration from 144,000 overseas purchasers across 215 countries and regions.
Furthermore, 288 leading enterprises as well as industrial and commercial institutions have confirmed their attendance, marking a 21.5 percent increase over the previous session.
