Foreign Minister Wang Yi will kick off a six-day official visit to Indonesia, Cambodia and Papua New Guinea starting from Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian has announced.

During the visit, Wang will also chair the Fourth Meeting of the China-Indonesia High-Level Dialogue Cooperation Mechanism and the Seventh Meeting of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee, Lin told a daily news briefing on Tuesday.

As developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Lin said China and the three countries are good friends and partners that respect each other, seek mutual benefit and pursue common development.

Under the strategic guidance of the head-of-state diplomacy, China's relations with these three countries have maintained robust momentum of growth, he told the briefing.

China is willing to strengthen unity and cooperation as well as maintain peace and tranquility with these three countries and others in the region in an aim to make positive contributions to the peaceful and stable development of the region and the world, the spokesman said.
