Eleven new electric transformers have so far been built in the Caoxian, connecting 6.9 kilometers of power supply lines, the company added.

"Thanks to the local power supplier's considerable help, we now have less worries about electricity use," said a local hanfu factory.

Meanwhile, with the arrival of the spring season, the farmers in Laiwu district, Jinan city, are busy with 130,000 mu (8,666.67 hectares) of garlic and 100,000 mu of wheat, which has also resulted in a surging demand for electricity.

The State Grid's Laiwu Power Supply Co said it has sent staff members to conduct remote monitoring and on-site inspections over 2,147 irrigation areas and 205 irrigation lines.

Keeping a close eye on the essential equipment and key indicators, the company can detect electrical hazards such as phase loss faults and power trips and mitigate them promptly.

The company said it has also dealt with the obstacles that could hinder the normal operation of the irrigation equipment, such as trees and debris, thereby safeguarding the irrigation practices and improving the agricultural productivity in Laiwu.
