On April 17, the acclaimed Chinese dance drama, Poetic Dance: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting, marked its 500th performance since its premiere in 2021 with a captivating presentation in Shanghai.

Prior to the milestone performance, a fan meeting event was organized, bringing together the creative team behind the dance drama, including the leading dancer, Meng Qingyang, to celebrate this significant achievement.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic painting A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains by Wang Ximeng from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the dance drama, crafted by choreographers Zhou Liya and Han Zhen and produced by China Oriental Performing Arts Group, has enraptured audiences across 62 cities at home and abroad, captivating viewers with its artistic portrayal.

In a testament to its growing international acclaim, the dance drama embarked on an overseas tour this year, commencing with a successful showcase in Singapore in March. Continuing its global journey, the production is set to enthrall audiences in Turkiye from June 22 to 25, underscoring its expanding influence and appeal beyond China's borders.
