China's leading marketing technology company BlueFocus released its annual report for 2023 on Sunday, revealing its AI-driven revenue reached 108 million yuan ($14.9 million), which is projected to increase by 500 million to 1 billion yuan in 2024 and bring extraordinary growth.
The company achieved an operating revenue of 52.616 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 43.44 percent, with an operating cash flow of 633 million yuan, making it the first domestic marketing enterprise to surpass 50 billion yuan in revenue, according to its annual report.
Continuing the growth momentum of last year, its first-quarter operating revenue stood at 15.782 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 61.47 percent, said its Q1 report released on the same day.
"AI will undoubtedly reshape the future of the marketing industry and also redefine the new BlueFocus. Our internal strategy is crystal clear: to aim for a hundred billion yuan in scale, and becoming a leader in generative AI with scale and bountiful imagination," said Pan Fei, CEO of BlueFocus.
Since unveiling its AI² strategy last year, generative AI has gradually integrated into the company's daily operations, including business models, process improvements, organizational structure and talent development. The "human + AI" working model has achieved 100 percent coverage, resulting in an overall business productivity increase of around 50 percent, said BlueFocus.
In September, BlueFocus launched its industry model BlueAI 1.0, collaborating with leading cloud platforms such as Baidu, Zhipu AI, Microsoft China and Google. The model focuses on global consumer insights, scenario-based and social media content creation, smart search as well as marketing knowledge bases, and is now serving key client projects in overseas and domestic integrated marketing, content marketing, and advertising.
"Embracing cooperation with leading AI tech companies is not only our edge, but also the firmest choice for BlueFocus' AI strategy," Pan said.
