The 16th China International Battery Fair (CIBF 2024) has recently been held in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, which aims to introduce the latest technical achievements and application cases in the industry and contribute to industrial optimization and upgrading.

Running from Saturday to Monday, the CIBF 2024 gathers both domestic and foreign experts and entrepreneurs in the battery industry.

Shenzhen BAK Power Battery Co. Ltd., for example, has attended the exhibition for four consecutive years. As a leading company in the cylindrical lithium-ion battery sector, BAK Battery offers products and services that cover a wide range of fields, such as energy storage, green mobility, and aerospace.

Li Fengmei, vice president of BAK Battery, said the company regards the exhibition as a key platform to expand exchanges and deepen cooperation with its partners in the global industrial chain, to better cope with the "overcapacity" issue and price wars.

BAK Battery has also presented its comprehensive and diversified product matrix at the exhibition and illustrated the latest progress it has made in the global market, said Li.

The continuous tab large cylindrical product is one of the BAK Battery's "star products" on display. The product perfectly matches the "rigid demand" of the new energy vehicles for safety, energy density and fast charging, and will be mass-produced by the end of this year, with an expected capacity of 2.5 GWh.

At the CIBF 2024, the company's third-generation small cylindrical batteries have also been exposed to the public for the first time. Mainly utilized in smart life devices, power tools and micro-mobility vehicles, the batteries are endowed with six advantages – "high power, low internal resistance, low-temperature rise, fast charging, long cycling and high capacity".

Moreover, the company has introduced a series of lithium polymer batteries, prismatic batteries with multi-material systems, and energy storage solutions, which are expected to jointly promote the efficient, reliable, and cost-effective development of the energy storage market.

Li said the BAK Battery will step up efforts to advance the development of lithium-ion battery technologies and thereby further contribute to both China's and the global renewable energy industries.
