Shanghai's Grand Halls launch public open day

The Grand Halls in Shanghai will launch its first public open day on June 16, offering people insights into the renovated century-old heritage buildings and the modernity of Shanghai, and reservations for visits on the WeChat mini program will be available starting Saturday (June 1), according to official sources.
With the reservations, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the unique charm of the landmark combining culture, commerce and tourism in Shanghai, according to its operator Shanghai Jiushi Group.
During the tour, guides will share the architectural concept and interior design style of the buildings, and the project's regeneration approach that sought to preserve the heritage as much as possible while skillfully incorporating modern functions.
For the first time, the garden patio will be open to the public, offering a view of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek and the skyline of the Bund, which features buildings of various architectural styles, complemented by the Lujiazui financial district.
Reconstructed from historical warehouses, the facility is a reflection of Shanghai's commitment of promoting high-standard international exchanges and local cultural services.
Situated in the intersection of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek, the Grand Halls was put into operation on June 16, 2021. Over the past three years, the venue has hosted a number of major events in the city.
