Ink works blend power and serenity at Ningbo exhibition
Renowned for his distinctive artistic style, Yue Zengguang infuses vigor and masculinity into the natural elements of mountains, rivers, and trees through sharp outlines in his ink paintings. Contrasting this strength, he expertly incorporates vibrant hues of green, blue, and red with high saturation to imbue his creations with a sense of grandeur and softness.
Yue's captivating artworks are currently on display at the Ningbo branch of Rongbaozhai, a cherished antique brand, in Zhejiang province. Titled Echoes of Mountains, his solo exhibition runs until June 6, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in his evocative interpretations of the natural world.
Remaining true to the qing-lyu (blue-green) style of traditional Chinese painting, Yue's pieces not only pay homage to classical techniques but also showcase his innovative approach to landscape art. By introducing a unique sense of spatial depth, he enriches the viewer's experience, offering a fresh perspective on the timeless beauty of nature captured through his brushstrokes.
