Search goes on for victims of floods, collapsed buildings

Four Duobao resident were taken to safety by helicopter, including an elderly man who was later sent to the hospital for treatment, the statement said.

Elsewhere, in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, a local railway station temporarily suspended passenger transportation services on Wednesday because of flooding.

The Guilin marine department raised its emergency response for flood control to Level 1 when the water level of Lijiang rose to 148.55 meters, which is 2.55 meters above the warning line and the highest level recorded since 1998, local authorities said.
