Railway increases trains during summer rush

China's railway network is expected to handle 860 million passenger trips during the two-month summer travel rush, which began on Monday, according to the national railway operator China State Railway Group.
More trains will be arranged to cater for passengers' needs, with daily average planned passenger train operations amounting to about 11,500 services. An additional 276 temporary passenger trains are scheduled to run every day, an increase of 128 services compared to the same period last year.
The railway operator said it will offer diverse services to meet passengers' needs, such as quiet carriages and regular speed trains.
