Russian art exhibition celebrates vigor and diversity

Dozens of paintings and sculptures of over 20 members of Russian art institutions and academies are on show at Beauty under the Sun at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.

Landscapes, figures, still-lifes and works of historical themes usher the audience to the forefronts of modern Russian art.

The vivid colors, fine techniques and a poetic mood that characterize Russian art have made the category a favorite among local museum-goers.

The National Art Museum has throughout years amounted shows of Russian art, and received donations of Russian artists.
