The Chinese Embassy in New Delhi organized a seminar on July 4 marking the 70th Anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence with an aim to carry forward the spirit of the Five Principles and jointly promoting the healthy and stable development of China-India relations.
"We should inherit and further promote the spirit of the Principles, jointly promote the healthy and stable development of China-India relations, and make unremitting efforts toward a brighter future of the two peoples and humanity," Xu said at the seminar.
The ambassador suggested during the seminar that two countries should establish a model of positive interaction, properly manage divergence and avoid the mindset of competition or confrontation and should focus on mutually beneficial cooperation for the development of China-India relations.
In keeping with the spirit of Panchsheel, both sides should take concrete steps to find a peaceful solution to the problems through dialogue and diplomatic channels, Pallav Sengupta, National Council Secretary of the Communist Party of India, said at the seminar.
