As of Wednesday, China has operated over 10,000 freight trains to Europe this year, 19 days ahead of last year's schedule, according to the service regulator and operator China State Railway Group on Wednesday.
Those trains have carried 1.08 million containers, showing an 11 percent year-on-year increase and indicating a positive trend of both quantity and quality improvement.
The China-Europe rail service has been a vital link in facilitating trade and connectivity between China and Europe, serving as a key component of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The early achievement of 10,000 trains this year demonstrates the continued expansion and optimization of the China-Europe rail network, showcasing China's commitment to enhancing international transportation infrastructure and promoting global trade integration. The steady increase in cargo volume and the efficient operation of the rail service underscore the importance of rail transport in meeting the growing demands of cross-border trade and logistics.
As the China-Europe rail service continues to thrive, it is poised to play an increasingly crucial role in fostering economic development and cooperation between China and Europe.
