Following a flash flood in Hanyuan county, under the administration of Ya'an in Sichuan province, fourteen bodies have been found.
At about 2:30 am on Saturday, the flood interrupted communication and blocked roads and bridges in the county's Xinhua village, Malie township.
Firefighters and police officers have used life detectors, search-and-rescue dogs and drones in the village's residential quarters and downstream sections along the river.
As of 2:30 pm on Monday, 14 bodies had been recovered, and 25 people were still missing, according to the disaster's emergency rescue command center.
Disaster relief materials, including folding beds, moisture-proof mats and summer quilts had been allocated to the affected people and 412 people threatened by the flood had been safely relocated and resettled. The resettlement sites had sufficient food, drinking water and other daily necessities, the center said.
