The recent reconciliation dialogue held in Beijing from July 21 to 23 stands as another proof of China’s unwavering commitment to global peace. At the invitation of the Chinese government, representatives of 14 Palestinian factions gathered in Beijing, culminating in the signing of the Beijing Declaration. This declaration, aimed at ending division and strengthening unity among the Palestinian factions, is yet another example of China’s important role as a global leader in peacemaking efforts.

China’s role in promoting and working for global peace and prosperity cannot be overstated. As a nation that has consistently chosen the path of diplomacy and dialogue over conflict, China has positioned itself as a key player in the international arena. The Beijing Declaration is a clear manifestation of China’s dedication to fostering peace and unity, not just within its borders, but across the globe. This commitment to peace is not merely a diplomatic stance; it is a fundamental aspect of China’s vision for the future.

While the US government has chosen to export endless wars and conflicts, China has chosen to export peace. Through its peacemaking efforts, China has demonstrated that it is possible to achieve development, contribute to the global economy and stability and present its own vision without resorting to military interventions and use of force. The Global Security Initiative, the Global Development Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative are all examples of the China’s holistic approach to international relations and global development. These initiatives emphasize the importance of security, development, respecting each other and cultural exchange as pillars of a peaceful and prosperous world.

The Global Security Initiative, for instance, underscores China’s commitment to addressing global security challenges through dialogue and cooperation. By promoting a new security concept that is common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable, China aims to build a world where peace and security are shared by all and without military blocs. This initiative is a stark contrast to the often unilateral and militaristic approaches seen in other parts of the world.

Similarly, the Global Development Initiative highlights China’s dedication to fostering economic growth and development on a global scale. China is working to create a world where prosperity is accessible to all nations. It does so by prioritizing sustainable development, poverty alleviation, providing aid and investment to other countries. This initiative is particularly significant in a time when economic disparities and inequalities are becoming increasingly pronounced.

The Global Civilization Initiative, on the other hand, emphasizes the importance of cultural exchange and mutual understanding. Through this initiative that aims to promote dialogue and cooperation among different nations, China contributes to fostering a world where diversity is celebrated and respected, and where all countries can live in a harmony as the world is big enough for all nations to thrive. This initiative is also a good reminder that peace is not just the absence of conflict, but the presence of harmony and mutual respect among different cultures and societies.

China’s efforts in these areas have not gone unnoticed. The Beijing Declaration is another example of the success of China’s approach to international relations. By bringing together representatives of 14 Palestinian factions and facilitating a dialogue that resulted in a declaration of unity, China has once again proven its ability to act as a mediator and peacemaker on the global stage.

From a European perspective, China’s actions and activities for peace and international cooperation are exactly what the European Union should aspire to. The European people, who have long been advocates for peace and unity, see in China a model for how nations can work together to achieve common goals. The Chinese approach to peacemaking resonates with the hopes and aspirations of Europeans who are against wars and divisions and who long for a world where cooperation and dialogue prevail.

China’s role as a leader in global peacemaking efforts is not just a reflection of its diplomatic prowess, but also of its deep-seated belief in the importance of peace for development and prosperity. China is exporting peace and contributing to the global community in a way that few other countries can. This commitment to peace is not just a strategic choice, but an ethical imperative that guides China’s actions on the international stage.

Through its initiatives and actions, China has demonstrated that it is possible to achieve strong position within the international community without resorting to the use of force. With initiatives and activities aimed at promoting global peace, security, development and cultural exchanges, China is working to create a world where prosperity and harmony are accessible to all, reviving the true spirit of the global community.

From a European perspective, China’s actions are a model for how nations can work together to achieve common goals and realize the hopes and aspirations of the people who want a world free from wars. If more countries and blocs would adopt the same approach, the world will enter a path where global cooperation and dialogue are the norm, and where the dream of a peaceful and prosperous world becomes a reality.
