A variety of fitness classes such as yoga, boxing, Zumba and Pilates were held for public visitors.
Among the participants, a Shanghai team of six stood out. They represent a mix of professional trainers and office workers—three women and three men.
The team said they dedicated about an hour almost each day over the past five weeks to prepare for the games.
For Scarlet Wan, team leader of Team Shanghai, this was her second time competing, while the others were new to the experience.
Wan, in her 30s, emphasized that the games were more about enjoyment and camaraderie rather than intense competition.
"Usually, the matches I've participated in are very competitive. These games prioritize joy, fun and teamwork," Wan said.
Chen Yulu, another team member, said of the comprehensive physical demands of the games, "The challenges require strength, cardio, balance, flexibility, teamwork and mental resilience. "
