Zhang has mounted dozens of art shows about Tianjin since 2018, seeking out work that presents more diverse angles of the 600-year-old city.

The paintings, illustrations and installations on display will take people back to Tianjin's past as a port on the Grand Canal connecting northern and southern China, and which has introduced diversity to its culture and cuisine, as well as focus on the historical architecture of the Wudadao area, and modern constructions like the Tianjin Eye Ferris wheel.

More importantly, it highlights the city's spirit, relaxing mood, and the optimism of its people, as they sail through the hardships of life.
