During the ongoing eighth China Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo, which opened in Jinan in Shandong province on Thursday, practitioners and experts discussed the integration of intangible cultural heritage with modern life.
The meeting is being hosted by the intangible cultural heritage department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is bringing together practitioners, industry associations, experts, scholars, e-commerce platforms, and media to exchange and share new measures and achievements in the intangible cultural heritage field.
The goal is to better integrate intangible cultural heritage with modern life and give it a fresh, contemporary twist. In recent years, the protection and transmission of intangible cultural heritage in China has improved, through widespread participation from various sectors of society. Many notable cases of creative transformation and innovative development have emerged.
The expo aims to boost communications and cooperation among different sectors, promoting a deeper integration of intangible cultural heritage with tourism, technology, and education, thus meeting the public need for a better life.
