The 2024 China Jingdezhen International Ceramic Expo kicked off on Friday in Jingdezhen, East China's Jiangxi province.
The event features more than 1,100 exhibitors showcasing products from international brands, traditional kilns and local Jingdezhen ceramic enterprises and art studios.
Ye Jianchun, governor of Jiangxi province, said at the opening ceremony that the expo has been held for 20 consecutive sessions and has become a significant event in the Chinese and global ceramic industry.
"It is an important platform for global ceramic cultural exchange and business negotiations. We hope that more people from home and abroad will use ceramics as a bridge to deepen their understanding of Jiangxi," Ye said.
Spanning a total exhibition area of 140,000 square meters, the exhibition center features eight main zones, including international brands, daily-use ceramics, art collections and more.
During the expo, activities such as the national university student ceramic art exhibition will be held, providing a platform for exchanges and contributing to the development of ceramics.
