Adora Cruises, a flagship enterprise in China's cruise sector, unveiled the name of its second China-built large cruise ship as the "Adora Flora City" in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, on Friday.

Set to offer international voyages from Guangzhou upon completion, the cruise ship aims to provide guests with a unique journey that emphasizes cultural exploration, according to the company.

Drawing inspiration from Guangzhou's reputation as the "Flower City", the name Adora Flora City reflects the vibrancy and beauty that the ship will embody.

With 2,130 cabins capable of accommodating 5,232 guests at full capacity, the ship, which is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026, features expansive public spaces designed to enhance onboard experience beyond that of its predecessor, Adora Magic City.

The ship will offer more suites, state-of-the-art entertainment facilities, a double-sized atrium and larger social spaces, according to the company.

"As China's premier cruise brand, we are dedicated to expanding our fleet, optimizing deployment and enhancing the guest experience," said Yang Guobing, chairman of Adora Cruises.

With Adora Flora City to be homeported in Guangzhou, the company will further develop its "Cruise + Culture" strategy, integrating Chinese culture to offer guests a diverse and personalized high-end cruise experience.

Meanwhile, Adora Mediterranea, known as the "Ship of Art," is set to depart from Guangzhou on December 18 this year. Currently, Adora Cruises operates two vessels – Adora Magic City, the first China-built large cruise ship, and Adora Mediterranea, serving nearly 380,000 domestic and international guests.
