China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, or CEEC, has seen its contract value at the China International Import Expo increase for seven consecutive years, with the total amount nearing $9 billion.

This year alone, the value of newly signed projects surpassed $3 billion, marking a 56.01 percent increase from the previous year and hitting a new record high, according to Ni Zhen, the company's general manager.

"As the CIIE continues to evolve, it has firmly established itself as a leading international procurement platform. It has become a window for shaping a new development pattern, a platform for promoting high-standard opening-up, and an international public good shared globally," said Ni.

Following the announcement of the eight actions to support the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) last October, the radiating effect of the CIIE and the driving effect of the BRI have complemented each other even more.

"The CIIE serves as both a bridge and a window for balancing global supply and demand," Ni added. Leveraging the vast platform provided by CIIE, CEEC has deepened its involvement in international capacity cooperation and the high-quality construction of the BRI. Over the past three years, the company has signed contracts worth nearly 750 billion yuan overseas, including over 550 billion yuan directed to BRI countries and regions focused on high-quality cooperation.

"The CIIE and the Belt and Road Initiative, both focused on development, have unlocked the potential of various countries and regions, achieving greater economic integration, stronger development collaboration and broader shared outcomes," Ni said.
