2 killed in separate shooting, stabbing incidents in London

LONDON -- Two people were killed and multiple others injured in two separate shooting and stabbing incidents in London, police said on Sunday.

A man was killed and two more were injured in a shooting in a residential area in south London.

Police are still looking for the suspect and no arrests have been made over what a police chief called a "senseless act of violence."

Also in south London, in an unrelated incident, a man died after three people were stabbed on Sunday in a market, according to police.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene. It is understood the incident is mental-health related and is not being treated as terrorism.
