Zoomlion sets sights on international market with modern machines

At Zoomlion factories, automation has revolutionized production, enabling large excavators to be manufactured in a mere six minutes.

Since the company began producing agricultural machinery in 2014, this segment has become a key part of its business portfolio. Leveraging AI and digital technology, Zoomliion has developed a new generation of smart agricultural machines to enhance efficiency and precision in farming.

To demonstrate its commitment to innovation, the company invests about 200 million yuan ($27.6 million) annually in research and development for agricultural machinery. Nearly 1,000 employees are dedicated to this sector.

Zoomlion has also made strides in expanding its global presence. The company has partnered with Laos to help establish national standards for agricultural machinery. Since entering the African market in 2011, the company has exported its machines to various countries, with over 450 tractors shipped to Nigeria alone since July.

Hunan province, where Zoomlion is based, plays a pivotal role in China's agricultural machinery exports. Last year, the province's exports in this sector totaled 458 million yuan. Building on this momentum, Zoomlion aims to grow its overseas business. The company has set an ambitious target for next year, with plans to generate more than 40 percent of its agricultural machinery sales from international markets.
