Chengdu-made robots provide security and sales at table tennis tournament

Three robots made in Chengdu were recently deployed at the International Table Tennis Federation Mixed Team World Cup 2024 to provide security patrols and sell cultural products.

The eight-day tournament concluded on Sunday in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

Lingtong, a quadruped robot developed by the Chengdu-based University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and produced by Sichuan Embodied Intelligent Robot Technology, patrolled outside the Sichuan Gymnasium under the guidance of police officers from the Wuhou district public security bureau.
