Exploring heritage along the Grand Canal through art
2024 marks the 10th anniversary of China's successful bid to inscribe China's Grand Canal as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In an effort to introduce China's Grand Canal and its related cultural heritage to a broader audience, the "China Chic - Reviving China's Heritage" project by China Daily Website is calling for artists worldwide to show their artistic finesse and their take on the Grand Canal.
Artists, designers, art aficionados, creators as well as museums, galleries and high education institutions are all welcome to participate, both online and offline, and lavish their creativity on the eight provinces and cities along the Grand Canal. Accepted forms include scrolls, posters, animated works and video productions.
We are looking forward to bringing to life the cultural relics and national treasures along the banks of the Grand Canal, in the most authentic Chinese way and the most global expressions. Let the world better understand the Grand Canal, and by extension, better understand China.
