The report was created after an in-depth survey of 92 member companies through a questionnaire, said Yan Dong, president of the China Chamber of Commerce in Italy.
Chinese-invested companies in Italy are currently running smoothly and making important contributions to Italy's revenue, job situation, and taxes, Yan said.
The report shows that more than 65 percent of companies surveyed consider Italy a key market, citing advantages in social and cultural factors, as well as in the job market.
More than half of the companies surveyed plan to increase their workforce in Italy during the next three years. And more than a third intend to invest further in their existing businesses.
At the same time, the report reveals that many Chinese-invested enterprises view protectionism as the biggest challenge and difficulty they face in Italy.
Yan outlined his expectation for a further deepening of the friendly cooperation between China and Italy, and for the countries to jointly create new opportunities for both sides.
