The qinglyu (blue-green) style of landscape painting is known for its large expanses of intense blue and green, which help to create a celestial feel.

An exhibition now on in Dongguan, Guangdong province, celebrates this tradition with a showing of dozens of blue-green paintings by six ink artists, which demonstrate the modern revival of the style.

It is being held at the Huangniupu Art Museum near the Huangniupu Forest Park, a popular destination.

The painterly symphony, orchestrated jointly by nature and the artists, allows the audience to travel from the past to the present, between real landscapes and the blue-green realms rendered in pigment.
