Humanoid robot companies in China are embracing a bright future thanks to recent policies, the Securities Daily reported on Tuesday.

The Beijing government is dedicated in promoting the application of humanoid robots infused with more intelligence, efficiency and modularization in the next step of their development in the industry, according to an action plan on technology innovation in the humanoid robot industry, which was jointly released by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park on Monday.

Some 50 core enterprises in the supply chain will be nurtured by the year 2027, forming over 50 mass-produced products, according to the action plan.

The future application scenarios of humanoid robots are far-reaching, such as industrial production, providing services on daily life, medical services, emergency rescue and much more, Huang Chaoliang, a researcher at Shaanxi Venture Capital Association, told the Securities Daily.

The scale of Shaanxi's robot industry will exceed 10 billion yuan ($1.36 billion) by 2027, and supporting policies also be issued in regions and cities like Sichuan, Shanghai, Chongqing, and Hangzhou.

Policy support includes financial, venue, talent and other aspects, encouraging the investment enthusiasm of social capital.

Moreover, provinces, cities and other regions in China are also actively expanding the application scenario of humanoid robots to more industries.

State-owned enterprises related to quality inspection in automotive production, consumer electronic product manufacturing, the mining industry and more, are encouraged to enroll humanoid robots in their production processes.

"With the policy support, and further integration and development of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, new materials, new sensing, biomimetic, and brain-computer interface, the commercialization process of the humanoid robot industry will be further accelerated in 2025," said Wang Tieshan, a director of research center from Xi'an Polytechnic University, told the Securities Daily.
