China, UK central bank governors meet

Central bank governors of China and the United Kingdom met on Saturday on the sidelines of the 11th China-UK Economic and Financial Dialogue and exchanged views on topics of mutual interests.

Pan Gongsheng, governor of the People's Bank of China, and Andrew Bailey, governor of the Bank of England, shared views on their respective domestic economic situations, financial stability and financial cooperation, said a PBOC statement on Sunday.

On Friday, Pan also met with top executives from British financial groups including HSBC, Standard Chartered, and London Stock Exchange Group.

They exchanged views on topics including global economic and financial development, China's macroeconomic and financial policies, and bilateral financial cooperation, according to the PBOC.
