Xi, Trump agree to maintain regular contact on major issues of common concern

BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President-elect Donald Trump agreed on Friday to establish strategic communication channels and maintain regular contact on major issues of common concern.

They reached the agreement during a telephone conversation.
