China's top legislator Zhao Leji met with visiting leaders of Brunei and Thailand respectively on Thursday in Beijing, highlighting China's readiness to boost exchanges with the legislatures of the two countries.

During his meeting with Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Zhao, chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, said China and Brunei have built trust and support for one another, and that China hopes to work with Brunei to carry on their traditional friendship, enhance strategic mutual trust and promote shared development.
