The China International Hydrogen Congress 2025 was held in Beijing on Wednesday, serving as a global platform for exchange, dialogue and collaboration in the hydrogen energy industry.
Focused on industry frontiers, the event, hosted by the China Hydrogen Alliance and the China Electricity Council, aims to promote global energy transition and sustainable development.
The conference comes at a time of significant growth for China's hydrogen sector. In recent years, China has been aggressively pursuing hydrogen energy as a key component of its decarbonization strategy. The government has implemented supportive policies and invested heavily in research, development and deployment across the hydrogen value chain, from production and storage to transportation and applications.
This push has resulted in the rapid expansion of the industry, with increasing numbers of companies and regions embracing hydrogen technologies.
The China Hydrogen Alliance, a key organizer, has expanded significantly in recent years, now comprising over 310 members across 27 provincial regions in China, reflecting the increased nationwide momentum.
